My wonderful friends at work gave me a Raspberry Pi as a farewell gift and I decided that a good project with it was to set up a video camera with image capture pointed at the rock where we feed the birds. One goal was to spot and identify new types of birds.

I got it going with an old webcam Anthony had and he then bought me a newer (higher res) webcam to replace it, and installed it on the eaves for me. It's now viewable on the web (email me for the IP address and port). The resolution isn't quite good enough for new bird identification, but it can be fun to watch with the shyer birds.
