Uig and north Skye

Our Great British Adventure

The weather was sunny but cold and windy so we decided to drive the northern road loop, anti-clockwise. This gave us excellent views of the increasingly scenic east coast. Skye was full of tourists - most of them hikers from a wide variety of countries. We stopped at Uig for lunch and chatted to a lady at the ferry terminal who had an enormous (80kg she said!) Newfoundland dog. He was very friendly - and slobbery, which was why he wore a bib.
