Nesting

Views from my office

I've been putting washing out on the line for a couple of weeks now without noticing the crested pigeon sitting very still and quiet on a nest in the Bougainvillea next to the laundry door. Now I'm spying on it from my office window. The chick has now appeared and is very cute!

Out of another window in my office I routinely see a bustard striding around in the morning (sometimes two of them). We've occasionally had to give way to them striding across the track down to our house. Anthony calls them bonsai'd emus:)

And my third window looks out over the dam where there are often water birds of some kind, like these hardheads. It's all very restful.

Our big news is that we've had an acceptable offer for Murrumbateman that we've accepted!
