Our Great British Adventure
May 14, 2018Yesterday we had a veg day: I was continuing to have problems eating and felt very tired and Anthony had done all his day tripping on a previous visit and wanted to wind down after the conference, so we slept in and didn't venture out much.
Our plane didn't depart until 9pm so we didn't need to head to the Tube station until 5pm. That gave us most of a day to go and do some last minute sightseeing, but we were still done in so we found a hotel lounge to camp in instead.
Heading off a bit early proved sensible when there was a problem on the Tube line that caused our train to be delayed out near the airport. Otherwise the trip home was just very, very tiring. Thankfully we were picked up from the airport in Emerald (on the 16th) by a friend rather than having to drive the 45 minutes home ourselves.
