Our Great British Adventure

Anthony had arranged to meet a couple of people who are collaborating with his friend Phil on a planetary polarised imaging project at Jodrell Bank so we headed there after breakfast. We chatted for 3 hours, by which time the weak sun had disappeared and the rain had returned. That cut short our plans to explore the grounds.

We had pretty views driving through the Lakes district as we outran the rain to our next stop, an inn at Gilsland.
