These panoramas were taken in August 2005, a couple of months after we bought the land.
Then the spring rains came... We seemed to have every type of weed known to man, and grass that ended up over 6 feet high. We'd planted (tall) fruit trees which could still be seen (just) but we'd also planted 21 native shrubs which were quickly swamped. We got a slasher to take care of most of the grass, but Anthony had to clear around the young shrubs with a whipper snipper.
One afternoon we saw red rumped parrots on the ground and these superb parrots (a rarer visitor to our region) on our fence.
A slideshow of the house being built is here. The insides, during the late stages of building, is here.
